Loosely translated, bello via means beautiful journey. Graphic design has given me the opportunity to take my work with me wherever life leads. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some pretty incredible and inspiring people from Texas all the way to London, England.

Bello Via Design House is a Michigan based independent design studio with over ten years experience in freelance web design and development. We specialize in custom wordpress designs and work almost exclusively with the Studiopress Genesis Framework. Whether you’re an individual or a small business looking to establish or build your presence on the web I would love to work with you to build a functional and beautiful site.

My design style is very eclectic. I’m constantly torn between clean and simple vs. layers and texture. I believe every design should have character and feel uniquely ‘you’ and I love the variety I get to work with from one project to the next. I am happiest (and at my most creative) when I have a few projects to bounce between.

I’m a typography addict and can spend an entire afternoon scrolling through fonts looking for just the right one. I’ve been affectionately referred to as a “font snob” on more than one occasion. At least I’d like to think it was affectionately. :) I’m a bit of a perfectionist and very detail oriented. By the time we launch your new design my hope is that you wouldn’t be able to find one thing that you wish were just a pixel or two this way or that. That everything works harmoniously together to draw attention to your content and not be a distraction from it.

I design in Photoshop, code in Dreamweaver and create print projects (and eBooks) in inDesign using my MacBook Pro. I love working in cute little local coffee shops for a change of scenery (and sometimes quiet).

When I’m not working I love spending time with Mr. Handsome and the kiddos. Traveling, taking walks and bike rides, checking out new restaurants in town, and documenting it all as much as possible in photos (yes, even photographing the food in those new restaurants). I love finding new music and collecting gadgets. My hair color tends to change monthly. (Always searching for that perfect shade of red.) And I’ve recently discovered yoga. (If you haven’t tried it you must!)

During the design process, I will likely be a tad quiet and you may not hear from me for a few days. Fear not. I have not abandoned your project and moved to Italy. And honestly, if I did move to Italy...first on my list would be finding this little coffee shop because, let’s face it, who gets to “work” in an office with a view like this?!?
